September 11th has always been an emotional day for me since that horrific day 23 years ago. I know not everyone takes it as seriously the way I do. And while I disagree strongly with Donald Trump & his supporters, I want to make it clear that I DO NOT HATE them. And it's very important we accept the results of the election, we decide our future at the Ballot box, not with violence, threats, or hate.
Also as Long Islanders, we are all dealing with crime, even in areas that I always thought were safe on the South Shore. The latest, a man was shot to death in the neighborhood in North Wantagh I grew up in. Apparently there's been criminal activity there in the past.
I could never imagine something like that happening there.
This is all because Governor Hochul and the State of New York won't put criminals back in jail where they belong. Then you have an influx of illegals on top of that making things even worse.
The point being that while I feel the Planet is much better off with the Democrats, they're certainly failing in New York badly.
But that doesn't excuse Bruce Blakeman for being a lousy County Executive and not protecting the quality of life for all of us. And now that there's so many criminals and illegals being dumped in the middle, it overflows onto the South Shore now too.
